uPlexa Forever Changes the way we think about Mobile Transactions
Every once in a while, a revolutionary piece of technology comes along that changes everything. Today marks an important event, one that I have been looking forward to for nearly two years.
Fist off, I am a developer and cryptocurrency enthusiast. Two years ago I was working on other software projects and investing in my favorite blockchain startups. During this time, there was one thing I noticed about most of the space. Many projects were working on amazing new concepts, but rarely delivered on their promises. This was frustrating to say the least, especially with so much funding and manpower involved. During this time, myself and a close friend had come up with a unique idea for a cryptocurrency that could change the world. It was so exciting, we decided to act and bring our idea to life. Building had begun, and we were able to commit these initial ideas to code. Within six months, uPlexa was born. This was followed by many other significant and working technologies related to uPlexa. We are very fortunate and proud to be able to introduce these types of unique working concepts to the cryptosphere.
uPlexa has already been able to solve problems such as producing a Proof-of-Work algorithm that lessens the gap between lower end and higher end devices, incentivizing low-powered IoT devices to help power transactions on the uPlexa network. uPlexa’s hashing algorithm is also ASIC resistant. The team takes a stance supporting both proactive and reactive problem solving when it comes to potential centralized attacks by producing emergency hardfork procedures whenever ASICs are known to the network. We have opted for this route rather than scheduled hardforks twice per year (or more). In our eyes, a minor disruption to miners beats allowing an attack on the network for several months. These are only some of the problems uPlexa has faced and solved. Only a few weeks ago, we had also released our Android wallet to the community, allowing for even easier day-to-day spending via IoT devices.
Today, marks the day we release a revolutionary piece of technology, built on top of tremendously revolutionary technology. Today, is the day you’re able to not only send and receive transactions from your IoT devices and mobile phones, but the day your phone, may act as a bank altogether. Today is the day, your phone or IoT device has the capability to power transactions on the uPlexa network. Today, uPlexa is going to reinvent the way mobile transactions are conducted.
Today we are introducing the full release for the uPlexa Android miner, allowing Android IoT devices to help power the transactions on the uPlexa network by utilizing an amount of a devices untapped resources, whilst being rewarded by the network in UPX coins.
