April Fools — Not Seized

We have not been seized. Although there are censorship laws in some countries, and many countries ARE pushing for anti-encryption legislation, none have yet to occur (that we are aware of). On a serious note, if such legislation does occur, we will do our best to fit in with said legislation without jeopardizing user privacy. If there is no way to do so, uPlexa will continue to work on the frontline of user privacy and dismiss laws pertaining to anti-encryption. Privacy is a basic right that we’re all entitled to, and nobody should have the power to take that away from us.

Again, we have not been seized. This was a joke for April fools. But now that we have your attention, we would like to point out the following:

There is nobody to protest for your rights on the streets right now. Multiple countries including the US, Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Equador, Italy and more are stripping away individual rights from society under the impression of fighting covid19. Some of which measures clearly have nothing to do with flattening the infection curve. In Equador, in 2019, there were mass protests against austerity measures. Such measures in 2020 have since been implemented without any protest. Again, this is occurring in multiple countries. Do not plan on those surveillance drones, cameras, and censorship laws going away anytime soon after this ends.

So, please do not forget about your personal rights during this whole kerfuffle, or we’re all doomed.
